Welcome to the freshly minted Small Island Games development blog and please accept a warm ‘How do you do’ from James, Ceri & crew!
Haiku Adventure - our debut project, is now well underway and so we thought it high time to start sharing and documenting our development journey with you. We’re hoping this will be our special corner of the interweb to share many interesting stories and tidbits as the game moves forward and connect with those interested in Haiku Adventure’s development, curious about game development in general, Haiku enthusiasts, ukiyo-e connoisseurs, Point and Click devotees and all of the rest of you good folk out there.
It’s been a busy time over the last months - Haiku Adventure made something of a debut when it was selected for the Leftfield Collection at EGX Rezzed back in April and we also got to show off our wares at Gamescom just a few months later. We’ve been featured in PC Gamer, had a double page spread in Edge magazine and generally received a lot of lovely words from a variety of fantastic (and we would say very well discerning!) people and sites. Suffice to say we hope to capture more of this kind of thing here on the blog from now on, and not only that but also share our thoughts, stories and generally pontificate (as opposed to procrastinate!) for your enjoyment.
Thanks for tuning in, we hope to produce lots of fun stuff for you to read over the coming months and as a wise Haiku Master once said: May the poetry be with you!
